WILD GYSPY HEART

This is perfection. Everything about it. The landscape, the colors, the embellishments, the embroidery, the fringe, the coins, the layers. It’s every good bohemian/gypsy part of fashion I dream of. I don’t know if any one else does this but I look at an editorial like this and start putting together a whole life that she might live and where she is and what she’s doing and imagine that I’m in it too. That’s not weird is it??

Ah, yes but layering: I think it is incredibly hard to master the art of layering. Especially with a plethora of embellishing going on. It is something I am constantly turning in my head. I always look in my closet trying to figure out what would look good together. Most of the time it looks good in my head but ends up looking 10 lbs. heavier and like a true bag lady [minus the posse of pidgins.]

I’m also dying for a overly embellished jacket. I would love the Isabel Marant one from the Spring/Summer 2012 Collection but definitely cannot afford it [let's hope someone gets tired of theirs and tries to sell it on Ebay for an obscenely low price!] Or any of the ones from this editorial will do just fine. Absolutely fine. I am completely drawn to anything with a lot of color, mix of prints, lots and lots of embroidery, and a couple of hangy-dangy’s or fringe for good measure. So I feel like getting a chunky, embellished, borderline nonfunctional jacket would be the perfect blend of all those things. But I digress. I will never get over the open road, carefree, gypsy-hearted fashion lifestyle.

And this perfect representation of a wild gypsy heart: I like to imagine it’s me too.
