Étoile Isabel Marant Spring 2014 Collection. I'm obsessed. I am usually always a fan of Isabel Marants collections but this collection evokes a special kind of fashionista in me. Think zen-like, shibori-wearing, tea-drinking, effortlessly-working-on-my-art kind of fashionista. I mean, naturally. I would live and die in these outfits.
The fact that she was inspired by old Japanese silhouettes and indigo-dying techniques is quite obvious. I love that. It reminds me of ancient day samurai's on their days off. Cruising in their open-air tatami mat huts, listening to sound of little rivers running through their bamboo gardens, sipping on green tea.
I keep telling all my friends that I haven't really been into fashion the last couple of months. There has been a fashion void. Not anymore, clearly. I've already feverishly started building my online shopping carts on my various go-to shops and cross-checking on Ebay. Ahhh. Is it worth a little credit card debt??
Isabel, you got me. You're too good.
