I was really hesitant to put these photos up. First of all, I have gotten used to seeing a different kind of beauty with the sort of work I have been doing lately. You know, model beauty. Not to mention that I am not at my personal best [physically.] But then I remember that whole spiel I gave about feeling like woman and being comfortable in your own body and I thought, "Dang. This is my body. It could probably use a little work but this is it. I better be proud of it."
A few more sit-ups and squats would be helpful though.
So I have been trying to be more active lately. I used to be the kind of girl that went on runs and yoga class on a regular basis. Oh hell, now that I think about I've already become one of those old ladies who complain about their ailments and loose body parts. And this isn't the first time I have talked about this. What a broken record!! I'm not even going to go there anymore.
So let's move on to the good part. In addition to our new living courts having a pool we also have a tennis court. Early retirement living at it's finest. My mister and I have been getting really into it. We hit the court on the regular for some good ol' ball service. It feels so good to get motived and do something different. I love the challenge and the fact that I am actually decent at a sport I never really did before.. it helps. And it's nice to mask those wave-less days with other extra curricular activities too.
Here's to trying new things, getting in shape, and the right outfit to do it!
Let's get physical.
