Last month I got to share a few of my special places with Samudra and help out with the 2016 Look Book, Lost in Paradise. It was probably THE BEST shoot I ever got to work on. The crew. the locations, and the vibes were all amazing. We actually may have all gotten lost in the whole concept itself. The idea of being deserted on an island, beautifully dressed in the latest Samudra, with only one other soul [good looking, Hawaiian soul.. that is] is hard to beat. It took some of us a while to get out of the daze. We were all lost in it.
And I mean, work is pretty damn amazing when you get to look at someone as beautiful as Jyoti.. all damn day. The photos speak for themselves. Jyoti has a pure heart and a special kind of light in her. And she is always sweet enough to say, "we could be sisters" [HAHHHH! I WISH!] Maybe the weird-looking black sheep sister of the family. But whenever I need to check myself or have a bad attitude, I think of Jyoti. Seriously. Her insides are just as beautiful as her outsides. I bet her liver is even shaped like a heart and smells like Puakenikeni.
But our entire crew was pretty damn talented. Ming flew in from Australia and killed it with her photography skills. Meleana's haku lei making may have even stolen the show [or made the whole thing 1000 times cooler], and Brandan added a little masculinity and much needed flair to the whole shebang. And of course, Jennifer's product and creative vision was the whole reason this photo shoot even happened.
It was a dream project, and the dream team. I am still a little lost in it all.
Lost in Paradise.
