My Big Island trip is coming to an end and I thought no better way to end it then a recap of the last several adventures. The last couple weeks were dedicated to a visitor from New York, going on a few day tripping hikes, capturing those moments for an upcoming project, spending time in the ocean, surfing per usual, and doing the Hilo-Volcano 50k Relay Run. Yesss.. a 50k relay run with absolutely no training or preparation. Uphill. Haha. We survived. And actually had a bit of fun doing it!
Now I am finding it quite difficult to leave. It was never like this before. I never imagined staying on the Big Island and making my life here. But I think as you get older things that are most important to you become more pronounced. Or maybe I just want an easier way of life. Because life on the Big Island is so easy. There’s no traffic, people are friendlier, I get to surf everyday, there’s always something new to explore, and this is where my family is. It is Hawai’i's best kept secret. But don’t tell anyone I told you. Maybe you could come for a visit and see for yourself. It’s pretty epic!
Here’s to adventure!
