If you know me.. you know I don't take beauty very seriously. I never get my nails done, sunscreen is the closest thing I ever get to wearing makeup, I've only had a facial once in my entire life, and I definitely don't like to fuss over my hair.
Most days you'll find my hair in the messy aunty bun. I have so much hair I just don't want to deal with it.
But sometimes a product comes along that really supports my no-routine beauty routine. And Bumble and Bumble has done it again. Two years ago I was introduced to Surf Infusion and kind of developed something I thought would never happen.. a beauty routine?? I could actually style my hair without all the time and gadgets. Now I'm actually styling my hair. Whoa.
Now, they've made a travel-sized (yes.. travel-sized) trio for flawless, no-fuss summer hair.. Summer's in the (H)air. (witty slogan included) is the perfect combo to throw in your purse and/or take on your next summer holiday. Here's how it works:
Hairdresser's Invisible Hairdressers Primer. My personal favorite! My hair tends to get frizz in all the humidity and heat. So this is the perfect little bottle to help tame my mane. It's my secret little potion after my hair gets dried out from the salt water and sun.
Surf Infusion. This seems like a little bit of an oxymoron. Salt and oil in one. Huh?? Yeah.. but it works. It smooths out your hair and adds a little texture for that beachy, sea-tossed look.
Don't Blow It. The understated hero of the trio. If you have really dry hair like I do, this is the tube for you. It conditions your hair as you air dry it (yes.. air dry!). I like to twist my hair as I apply it to give my hair a natural, tossed look.
And you know what my favorite part about it is? I can go straight from the beach to a night out. No blowdryers.. not even a brush! And most times I'm using the very small sideview mirror of my car. Easy.
So Quincy Davis, Alana Beale, and I got together to put Summer's in the (H)air to the test in Hawaii's endless summer. We spent a weekend cruising in Lanikai, going surfing, skating around the block, and having evening picnics in our summers best. I'm no expert but maybe the photos will speak for themselves. Even though it was a crazy windy, jam-packed weekend.. my hair still maintained cool, summer style. I mean, I think so anyway.
