QUEEN OF THE ROAD

I love Jason Lee Parry’s photography. Minus some of the vulgarity and law suit.. he has a compelling point-of-view. Although the whole road trip concept puts my Away On the Road to shame it is what I’ve always dreamed of. Summer time, open road, great style, and my man driving a convertible mustang (instead of an El Camino..I’m not sure it’s really our style, you know??) This re-affirms my love for the desert and my desire to get lost in it for sure.

And really, don’t we all want to be queen of the road??

A DESERT COOL

Being in the desert ain’t so bad. I kind of like it. Hot days, chilly nights. Beautiful sunsets, starry skies. Long stretches of sand, different shades of brown. It’s got everything expect for the ocean. It’s a nice change of pace. There’s something very beautiful about the desert. I found myself staring out into the vast endlessness of cacti and sand wondering how and why people decided to settle in such an otherwise desolate place. In some ways, I feel like the culture is so much more vibrant here to make up for a lack of scenery. You know? I’m just stoked that I don’t have to wear a coat at the end of November!!

Just keepin’ my cool in the desert heat.
