My beautiful friend Kumari was married in a picturesque castle setting in a small town outside of Brussels a few days ago. It was one of the most magical weddings I have ever attended and been apart of. It was an interesting juxtaposition: an Indian wedding in the heart of Europe. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from Kumari. It’s the first Indian wedding I have ever attended and it was absolutely stunning. Every tradition and custom in the wedding is packed with meaning. Every act and movement embedded in rich culture and history.
Kumari’s dress was amazing! Completely hand-embroidered. You wouldn’t believe the amount of detail and work that went not only into the dress but the wedding itself. It blows any traditional western ceremony out of the water. It was such a magical day.
They are probably floating somewhere between Greece and no where by now but congratulations Kumari Kunti and Nimai! Love you both! x
