I have been a huge fan of Jason Lee Parry’s work for quite some time. You’ve probably seen his work in Foam Magazine and other substantial publications. Rightfully so. He has a beautiful way of telling a story and evoking strong characters with his subjects. I suddenly feel like I always wanted to be a beautiful [topless] biker chick. And that’s what I mean. Through his photographs he is able to create these very desirable [and believable] characters that transcend beyond fashion. Essentially, he’s capturing a lifestyle at its very best without seeming contrived.
Even better.. he shoots almost all his photos in film. That’s huge. We live in such an instantaneous world that there is something very authentic about his work because of it. Fashion shoots in film? Unheard of. I love it.
The works of Parry. Enjoy.
