After a couple of weeks back in Hawaii I decided I am content with a simple life. No fashion, no pressure to live up to my professional potential, no expectations. I just want to be. As I am. But let’s get real.. that ain’t real. I’ll probably forget all this in a couple days and be back at it again. Trying to make it happen and writing down a list of things-to-do that never end. I already feel my brain switching on as I talk about it. Which is a little bit necessary.. I need start being a contributing part of society again. It’s just the world we live in I suppose. What a shame. But I am enjoying the simplicity while I can. It is so nice to reflect and realize how good I’ve got it. And I don’t mean that in a condescending way. I am healthy, happy, and live in a beautiful place. That’s it. That alone should satisfy me. Life in Hawaii is so good. I am realizing that Quality of life is so incredibly important and I think we forget about that sometimes. We get caught up in work, expectations, goals, progress, money, material things, etc. etc. etc. that we forget to just enjoy what we already have. So I encourage you to do some reflecting as 2013 comes to an end and really appreciate all that you have.
I appreciate and love all these moments I’ve had over the last couple weeks. There is simplicity in the moments in between.
And so it goes.. life goes easy.
