If you haven't already seen on my Instagram a while ago.. I decided to buy a motorcycle while I was on Kaua'i. It's was completely spontaneous but not random. I have been wanting a bike for a while. There was also period after I got my dog Annie that I obsessed over motorcycles with sidecars.
And so when the opportunity presented itself.. I went for it. We were camping on the beach under the stars and my friend Bryce texted me a link to a Craigslist ad for a Honda Enduro with a sidecar. I didn't see it until the morning and yelled "OH MY GOSH" from my tent. I bugged him the rest of the day about it [he is quite a moto enthusiast himself.] He finally gave in and took me to go look at it.
The guy who was selling it, Casey, is a die-hard wrencher and used to custom build bikes for a living in Northern California. He decided to move to Kaua'i to take a break and brought the sweet Sidecar Sally with him. So I knew I was buying quality. He took me for one hell of an off-roading ride. I had a good feeling about the whole situation so we shook hands and I bought it.
But here's the thing.. I don't have my motorcycle license and I didn't drive my first motorcycle until a short while ago [right after I purchased my motorcycle.. to be exact.] But that's the beauty of this whole experience. Every good adventure comes with it's challenges. I haven't a clue what I am doing. But I am determined and by the end of it.. I hope to be one badass biker chick. Crossing my fingers!
And so I am currently studying for my permit and already looking for a cool leather jacket to go with my bike. How could I not?!
So I bought a bike! And I can't stop beaming about it!
